EAL Workplace Health & Safety Course (Virtual class)
Do you want to improve your English skills in a welcoming environment, while gaining important knowledge about workplace health & safety in BC? Join our FREE English as an Additional Language (EAL) Workplace Health & Safety Course! This 8-week course will empower newcomers, migrants, and refugees with new language, information and resources that support health & safety at work. Students who complete this course will also receive a certificate from the BC Federation of Labor Health and Safety Centre.
Next Session: Tuesdays, January 14th to March 4th, 2025, from 6-8pm
Cost: FREE
Place: Online (you will receive a Zoom link when you register)
*Who Can Join: Newcomers, immigrants, migrants, and refugees with intermediate English proficiency.

- Employment Standards in BC
- Refusing Unsafe Work
- First Aid in the Workplace
- Reporting Injuries & Safety Violations to WorkSafe BC
- Common Hazards & Hazardous Materials
- Bullying, Harassment & Violence at Work
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Health & Safety Committees
